This ongoing quest has led us to create a slew of features, services, and tools—so many, in fact, that you might not know about all of them!
We tracked down one of our product guys, codenamed “Danny,” to help us pick out some features that are bound to streamline the way your shop operates. Yes, we’re tooting our own horn a bit, but we think it’s worth it. We’re still in the early part of the new year—why not make a resolution to give these options a try?
QUICK SERVICE ORDER
You’re running a shop, not a charity—that means you want to invoice as fast as you can.
Fullbay’s Quick Service Order (or QSO) lets you spin up an estimate on the spot, then convert it to an invoice ready to send out ASAP. It’s helpful for anyone who just wants to get a move on, but we think it’s especially beneficial for the lone wolves out there. If you’re a mobile repair tech or run a one-man shop, QSO can be your best friend.
As soon as an invoice is ready, you can fire it off to your customer with a text message or email notifying them that the invoice is ready. No need to spend hours on the phone getting in touch with customers!
Our most recent State of the Heavy-Duty Industry report told us the hard truth: a lot of shops are struggling with parts disruptions of various levels. Our Marketplace gives Fullbay users access to FinditParts, which has a lot of brands and manufacturers.
The Marketplace also includes a cross-reference, so you can see other potential options when searching for a specific part. (As an aside, we have a second parts cross-reference with our MOTOR integration—you can always use that to find the part you need, and plug the result into the Marketplace!)
We have so many awesome inventory features, we couldn’t talk about just one. Instead, we’ll talk about the tools as a whole, which let you maximize your inventory profitability.
Fullbay lets you be completely proactive: You can set your mids and maxes to maintain the inventory threshold that you want. You can adjust parts markup and margins so you’re selling parts at a profit instead of taking a hit. You can even program in special discounts for particular customers if they send you a high volume of work (or you’re related to them).
Your inventory, Chris likes to say, is like cash on shelves. Make sure you treat it right!
SERVICE REQUEST FORM
This isn’t a feature from Fullbay itself, but rather Fullbay Websites, our new (and pretty incredible!) marketing service built specifically for shops like yours.
Your website is your virtual storefront. Any website we build for you will include a service request form right on the main page: potential and existing customers can schedule the work they need done. A customer will enter their service request, and the service request will pop up in Fullbay. You don’t have to do anything.
It will save you time, money, and brainpower.
Managing preventive maintenance will never go out of style! It’s an invaluable service for an independent shop to offer, but it’s equally important if you’re managing an internal fleet.
Overall, PMs minimize downtime and contribute to safer roads for everyone. But actually keeping track of what units are due for PMs can be…well…time-consuming. Fullbay keeps tabs on your customers’ PMs. It lets you see what units are due for PM work so you can call them in. You can even save specific PMs for a later date.
Taking payment is probably one of the top pain points of any shop or lone wolf tech. Fullbay Payments lets you securely store and tokenize customer credit cards. This is a huge step forward for a mobile tech in particular, because it lets you get paid even if your customer doesn’t have a card on them.
You can still key in credit card information directly into Fullbay and store it for later, too.
