New Integration Ahoy: Fullbay + Mitchell 1

New Integration Ahoy: Fullbay + Mitchell 1

The Fullbay team is always looking for new ways to make life easier for our customers. From new payment options to opening a parts marketplace, everything we do is centered around improving things for the heavy-duty repair industry.

That’s why we’re pleased to announce that Fullbay now integrates with Mitchell 1’s ProDemand and TruckSeries labor time module. If you have Fullbay Connect Elite and subscriptions to those services, you can now autopopulate your estimates and work orders with their data.

We think it’s pretty cool…and we’re pretty sure you will, too. Here’s what you need to know.

WHAT’S IN THE INTEGRATION?

The Fullbay/Mitchell 1 integration gives you access to ProDemand and the TruckSeries labor estimator.

You want ProDemand if you work on automobiles or light-duty vehicles (and a lot of shops do!). With it, you’ll be able to access:

  • Labor times. Find out how long it should take to perform a repair or maintenance on any given car or light-duty vehicle.
  • Maintenance schedules. OK, you know how long a job will take — how often should this work be done?
  • Fluid specifications data. Find out what fluid types and capacities are required for the units you’re working on.
  • Parts information. Pulling in the correct part for a job is critical to providing an accurate estimate.

Meanwhile, you want TruckSeries if you work on heavy-duty vehicles for its industry-leading labor estimator. It includes makes and models of Class 4-8 trucks all the way back to 1990, for those of you who may be working on more vintage equipment.

HOW WILL THIS INTEGRATION HELP MY SHOP?

Hey, time is money. This integration aims to help you get both of those things back by:

  • Cutting down on platform-jumping. If you’re already using ProDemand or TruckSeries, then you know the pain of switching between platforms. You open up Fullbay to create an estimate…you hop over to Mitchell 1…you look up the information there…you write it down or attempt to memorize it and then go back to Fullbay to enter the information.

If you were only doing this once in a while, then no biggie, right? Except you probably aren’t just occasionally looking up stuff in ProDemand or TruckSeries. You’re probably using them pretty frequently, and jumping back and forth all the time can turn into a huge time-suck.
  • Eliminate double-entry errors. Jumping between platforms is one thing. But how do you know if you’ve entered the data correctly? What if you don’t? At best, you need to go back and fix it. At worst, you’ve entered something wrong and the repair time or a part will be off, and before you know it you’ve got an unhappy customer and then you’re spending more time and money making things right.
  • Speed up your estimating process. When you take platform-jumping and double-entry out of the picture, you have a much faster, more streamlined way to pull information into estimates. Open an estimate. Then pull in the data. Boom! Done. Cue the happy (and impressed!) customers and staff.

THIS SOUNDS AMAZING! HOW DO I GET THE INTEGRATION?

The Fullbay/Mitchell 1 integration is attainable only if you complete the three tasks assigned by the Fellowship of the Thing under the light of a full moon—er, wait, sorry, that’s another integration we’re working on.

You need a subscription to either Mitchell 1 ProDemand or TruckSeries (or both!). You’ll need to get those through Mitchell 1 — you can’t get them through Fullbay. You will also need a Fullbay Connect Elite subscription.

Once you have those subscriptions, just head over to your Fullbay Connect panel and scroll down to Parts & Labor. You’ll see the Mitchell 1 panel, toggle on the little slider bar and follow the instructions on the screen, and boom! You’re in business.

Burning to know more about the integration? We’ve got you covered. Craving other integrations to make your life easier? We can help with that, too. And hey, haven’t given Fullbay a whirl but feel like it might be worth your while? There’s a free demo waiting for you. Give it a try!
